Relocated Railway Station 2028
The relocation of Waterbeach Station will be part of the eastern side of the New Town development. The station will move north from its current location in the village to become part of the new town. The relocated station is expected to be complete in 2028.

Water Tower
The Water Tower is a local landmark that is illuminated at night as part of the heritage and landscape integration at Waterbeach.
Most evenings, you’ll spot it lit up in Waterbeach blue, but keep an eye out on special events and public holidays, when it may be illuminated in a different colour.

Watertbeach Museum
The Museum is open to the public from 10am to 3pm on on the third Sunday of each month, alongside the Waterbeach Community Market. From March to October, it is also open from 10am to 4pm on the first Sunday and Wednesday of each month.
Waterbeach Military Heritage Museum was opened in 2016. Three rooms in the museum are devoted to the Royal Air Force. Much of the collection material has been donated by former members of 514 Squadron, who still have their annual reunion in Waterbeach.
The museum is dedicated to preserving Waterbeach’s military heritage, and displays a fascinating collection of objects, photographs, and memorabilia.

Herons Pre-School
Waterbeach is home to Heron’s Pre-school, which has recently secured Outstanding Ofsted rating. The Pre-school sits at the southern gateway of the development, serving both the village and the new community.

Squash courts
The Waterbeach Squash Courts provide a convenient, community-focused space to play, open daily from 6am to 10pm. To book a court, you must be a member of the U&C Squash Club, but membership is free and open to anyone aged 16 and over, giving access to the online booking system.

Memorial Garden
The historic Memorial Garden sits peacefully between the runway and the lake, serving as a tranquil sanctuary for reflection. It was originally established following requests from relatives of 514 Squadron RAF, who served at Waterbeach during World War II, to create a dedicated space near the airfield’s heart yet away from active training areas. Today, the garden features trees and plaques planted by families in memory of their loved ones, ensuring that the sacrifices made by those who served here are never forgotten.

Sports Hall and Studio
The Sports Hall and Studio offer modern, flexible spaces for sport and community use. The Sports Hall supports activities such as football, badminton and basketball, and includes changing facilities, toilets, showers and lockers.
The adjoining Studio is a self-contained space with its own kitchen and toilet, making it suitable for a variety of independent uses. Both spaces are designed to be accessible.
Both the Sports Hall and Studio are also available to book for private use.
The Sports Hall and Studio can be accessed via Denny End Road, with parking available on site.
School / pre-school
Deneia Academy Primary School (2027)
The school has been specially designed to nestle into the woodland areas within the first phase, and provide a car-free environment to enable a stress free walk, cycle or scoot to school.
Run by Anglian Learning Trust, the school will eventually grow from one to three forms of entry, and will include wraparound cover. It will also be home to an Early Years provision.
