Welcome to the Winter edition of the Waterbeach newsletter, which provides an update on the work the team and partners have been progressing, and the things to look out for in future months.
With the northern part of Phase 1 underway, and further housebuilders due to join Cala and Stonebond on site in the coming months, the Urban&Civic team has started to prepare land to the east of the lake for the next homes. Work is also due to start on the new pedestrian, cycle and equestrian bridge over the A10, which will connect the new development to Cambridge via the upgraded Mere Way.
In this edition of our newsletter, we share information about the Discount Market Sale apartments currently available, the latest sustainable travel initiatives from smart journeys and an update from the Greater Cambridge Partnership on new transport projects to significantly improve people’s journeys along the A10 corridor.
We also share some of the work we are doing to create and enhance habitats for nature in the northern park planned for the development, an update from Waterbeach Military Heritage Museum and look at some of our recent sporting, creative and cultural events and activities.
