The Travelling Band is part of Talking Together in Cambridgeshire’s fourth Festival of Stories, which aims to shine a light on how stories can be used in fun and interactive ways to bring a sparkle of magic to the everyday and boost young children’s communication, language, and literacy skills.
Caroline Ward, Community Development Lead for Waterbeach, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting a session of this year’s Festival of Stories. Marion is a fantastic storyteller and audience participation scattered throughout the narrative will keep your little ones enchanted and entertained.”
Suitable for children from 3-5years accompanied by a parent/carer, the event is free, but spaces are limited so please book in advance by emailing hello@waterbeachwb.co.uk
The Festival of Stories also highlights how 50 Things to Do Before You’re Five can be used, by parents and carers across Cambridgeshire, to create new stories based on everyday activities, help build memories and bring families together.
Waterbeach is a great place for families taking part in this challenge. Check out the pollinator in the Sustainable Travel Hub to find mini beasts and bugs (#8), hop, skip and jump at Wild Woods Play Area (#24), and go wood wandering in Waterbeach Wood (#34).
