Local families enjoyed a range of nature-themed arts and crafts activities including bark rubbings and making leaf crowns before heading over to Wild Woods Play Area and the lake to find the stamps on the ecology trail and reveal the word that they spelt out.
Fiona Reardon Rose from Waterbeach’s communities’ team said: “It was a cold but sunny Saturday and everyone who came along to our event wrapped up warm and enjoyed a fun
autumnal event with the family. It was a great way to bring the community together to have fun with arts and crafts, play in the Wild Woods and explore the lakeside as well as giving back with donations to the food bank.”
Evolve’s coffee shop was also open and selling hot drinks, snacks and sandwiches, which was a great way to refuel between or after the activities.
