These energy efficient homes will include solar PV panels and air source heat pumps, providing energy efficient heating solutions. Each home will also have bike storage and an EV charging point to encourage more sustainable travel solutions and electric vehicle usage.
Work is due to start on these Build to Rent homes in autumn 2025, with the first properties available to rent in summer 2026.
Paul Mumford, Project Director at Waterbeach, said: “We have always been conscious there is huge demand for high quality rental homes where people can settle down, and we feel there is a great opportunity at Waterbeach for those who want to try the location before buying, or plug in and play through renting within the growing community.
“With the cycle links to the Science Park, the shuttle bus service to local stations andthe City and the train connection, this is also a great place for those coming to Cambridge for work to find a new home set within the green spaces and lakeside setting of Waterbeach. We look forward to progressing the build over the coming months and welcoming residents next year.”
