Making Waterbeach your home

There are several routes to home ownership available. Alongside traditional mortgages, housebuilder and national incentives, we are working closely with Amplius and South Cambridgeshire District Council to provide four innovative ways to live at Waterbeach:

Rent to buy

Reduced market rent (at least 20% below local market rents) for up to five years, so you can save towards your mortgage deposit and buy the home you have been renting.

Affordable Rent

A more affordable rental option than the private rental market, as the rent is set at no more than 80% of the open market rate (including service charges).

Shared Ownership

Purchase a share of your new home while renting the remaining percentage*. You can buy further shares in your home when you are able (known as 'staircasing').

*The initial purchase not more than 75% and not less than 25% of the property value.

Discounted Market Sale

An affordable home ownership option that could enable you to buy a brand new home at a 20% discount from the local market value, while still owning 100% of the property.
