Following the success of last year’s event, Indian Community Waterbeach is back at the new Waterbeach development with a vibrant celebration for Holi, the Hindu festival of colour, which promises to be a joyous event for the whole family to enjoy.
The event will feature music from a Bollywood DJ, a dance workshop, delicious Indian street food and a bazaar with stalls selling traditional handicrafts, arts, clothes, accessories and food. This will run alongside the popular Colour Run; an immersive experience with participants of all ages and abilities walking, running or jogging while getting splashed and showered with vibrant colours.
There will also be a range of activities to keep little ones entertained including bouncy castles and funfair games.
Shweta Mathur, Chair of Indian Community Waterbeach said: “We’re really excited about this year’s festival of colours, which promises to be a vibrant, colourful and exciting multicultural event for the whole community to enjoy.”
Fiona Reardon-Rose, Communities and Partnerships for the Waterbeach master developer Urban&Civic, said: “Waterbeach is fast becoming an active and thriving community and we’re delighted to host the Indian Community Waterbeach’s Holi celebration again this year. We’re looking forward to welcoming residents, family, friends and visitors to this year’s event, which promises to be even bigger and better than last year.”
Taking place at the Studio at the new Waterbeach development, the event promises a joyful, colourful and culture-filled celebration for family, friends and neighbours to enjoy. Tickets are available to buy online.
